FATHER

Edward Mott Moore

MOTHER

Lucy Richards Prescott

Mary Pettes Moore never married.  She lived with her parents at 63 South Fitzhugh in Rochester until their death. Her brother, Richard Mott Moore and his family also resided at the same residence, so after the death of her parents, Mary Pettes Moore remained in the household of her brother.  However, according to the 1918 Bluebook of Rochester, Miss Mary Pettes Moore and Miss Clara Durand Moore were living at 90 Beverly Street.  (Clara was the daughter of Edward Mott Moore, Jr and therefore a niece of Mary Pettes Moore.)

A portrait of Mary Pettes Moore and Abigail Moore hung in the Campbell-Whittlesey House Museum administered by the Landmark Society of Western NY,  in Rochester,  until 1992 at which time it was auctioned off by the Cottone Auction House.  So far we have been unable to track the location of this painting.
