Samuel Palmer was born 22 May 1688 in Rowley, MA. (1)  He married Mary Felt in Rowley on 6 Nov 1707. (2) And, their children were all born in Rowley.  (3) His father, Thomas Palmer, distributed some land to his three sons, Samuel, John and Timothy, in 1720 and Samuel acquired his father's dwelling house. (4)   By 1723 he was acquiring land in Mendon, Worcester, MA.  (5) According to the Felt Genealogy, Samuel Palmer died in Mendon before 04 Mar 1730. (6) Nathan Tyler was appointed guardian for his younger children on 15 Aug 1734. (7)
Samuel Palmer had two brothers, Timothy and John Palmer.  His brother John had died in 1727 and Samuel had died around 1730.  The brother, Timothy, who still lived in Rowley, is found in a Rowley Deed where he and the descendants of Samuel Palmer, formerly of Rowley and late of Mendon, deceased, were agreeing about land distribution. May ye 3d: 1734 laid out for heirs of Samuel Palmer five acres of land viz: 3 acres Eight division and 2 acres ninth division laid Joining to their other land and is bounded  northerly part on sd land and part on common 28 rod top heap of stones being the norwest corner and is bounded west on the county Road 6 rod and on all other parts on their own land: it being a broken piece of land containing by Estimation 7 acres and half 2 acres and half allowed for bad land laid out by Thomas White surveyor Jacob Aldrich and Daviel Lovet chain men.

"Mary Felt, born in Falmouth.  She married Nov. 6, 1707, probably at Rowley, Mass., Samuel Palmer, son of Thomas and Hannah (Johnson) Palmer of that town.  He was born May 22, 1686.  They removed to Mendon, Mass., Jan 24, 1722-3, and he died there before March 4, 1730.  She married (2nd) at Upton, Mass., July 5, 1760, Samuel Walker of Hopkinton, Mass.  She died before April 13, 1770.

1. Benjamin Palmer, b. 1708; d. May 23, 1745.  He m. Sarah.  They had seven children.

2. Mehitable Palmer, bap. March 4, 1710-11; m. James Rice of Mendon, Mass., June 6, 1735

3. Thomas Palmer, bap. June 28, 1713; m. at Upton, Nov. 30, 1741, Susannah Goady of that town.  They had no children.  He died in 1760 and she m. (2nd) Nov. 25, 1762, Phineas Pratt (son of Thomas) of Grafton, Mass.

4. Mary Palmer, bap. April 29, 1716; m. Dec. 25, 1735. John Hunt of Grafton.  His name appears in the 'War Schedule of Old Army Service,' he belonging then in Mendon.

5. Samuel Palmer b. 1718; m. at Upton, feb 28, 1739, Rachel Warfield of that town.  They removed to Uxbridge in 1751, and to Dudley, Mass., before 1758, and to Killingly, Conn., by 1762.  They had 6 children.

6. Jonathan Palmer, bap. March 11, 1721-2.   Lived in Mendon.
