"John Roote was baptized on 06 January 1570/71, Milton Malsor, Northamptonshire, England.

He presumably moved with his parents to Fawsley, Northamptonshire, about 8 miles away, in 1592 or 1593. They then moved to nearby Badby by 1597 when John would have been about 26 years old. He seems to have gotten Ann Rushall pregnant and married her at Badby on 23 July 1600. Five months later their daughter Marie was born, followed by three more children born at Badby (in 1603, 1606, and early 1609).

Sometime after his father died (in 1609), they apparently moved back to his hometown of Milton Malsor, and their son Lawrence Roote was baptized there in August 1614. And then John Roote appears to have been the John Roote who was buried at Milton Malsor on 29 October 1615 (there seems to be no good source confirming the claim that he died in 1658 in Badby). His widow Ann was still living in 1620 when her mother Winifred made her will, but there does not seem to be a burial record for her at Milton Malsor."
