Mary "Whedon" was born 18 Nov 1717 in Branford, East Haven, CT. (1) Based on the age of her first child, she married Joseph Moulthrop about 1739.  Joseph Moultrhop died in 1771 when her youngest child was 12 years old. Three years later she became the third wife of James Bishop on 23 Feb 1774. (2) Mary died at the age of 59 on 13 Oct 1776 and was buried in the Old Cemetery in North Haven. (3)

"Families of Ancient New Haven" by Donald Lines Jacobus shows Mary's surname as both Wheaton and Wheadon. "East Haven Register" shows it as Whedon.

Nathaniel his son who died September 13th. AD 1752 In ye 3d. Year of his age.
Mrs. Elisabeth his Wife who died May 22d AD 1760 aged 57 Years
Mrs. Hannah his Second Wife who died November 9th. AD 1773 in ye 56 year of Her Age
In calm repose their bodies lie When Christ appears their dust shall rise
Mrs. Mary His 3d Wife who died Oct. 13th. AD 1776 aged 59 years
