He settled in Middletown and held various town offices; was constable in 1735, and a Selectman from 1746 to 1749. He was chosen a deacon of the church there, Jan. 15, 1749. He died June 26, [27?] 1768, æ71 (On the grave-stone, 1769; but the church record says, 1768, and his estate was settled in that year.
