Colonel John Stull, Jr. b. c. 1730 in Washington Co., Md. (later Frederick
Co., Md.) Son of John, Sr., and Martha (Jones) Stull. He died Sept. 1, 1790, and
his will was proved in Washington Co., Md., Apr. 15, 1791, naming daughter
Martha, married to William Torrence, and mentioning his plantation named Whiskey
Alley and lots in Elizabethtown and Bath, Va.
John, Jr., married first Sarah White, daughter of John and Sarah (Leonard) White
of Shrewsbury, N. J., and Washington Co., Md. They had one son, Capt. Daniel
(Rev. War), and three daughters, Martha, Susan, and Letitia. Sarah died before
January, 1780. He married second in January, 1780, Mercy (Williams) Ross, widow
of George Ross, and sister of General Otho Holland Williams. They had two sons

John, Jr., was an active patriot in the Revolution. He was a captain in Western
Maryland campaigns during the Revolution.
Sarah (White) Stull was mentioned in her father John White's will written in
1755 as the wife of John Stull, Jr., proving they were married by 1755.
