"Susannah White, daughter of Peter White and Margaret Stull, was born about 1758 in Frederick (present-day Washington) County, MD.  She was married by 1797 to John Watt, JR, son of John and Eve Watt. (24) They had no surviving children. (25)

On Jan 17, 1799 widow Margaret White and her son, Peter White, Jr. sold 50 acres of the tract 'Resurvey on End of Strife' on the east side of Antietam Creek to John Watt. (26) On Aug. 31, 1805 John Watt sold his wife's share of the personal property of Margaret White, dec. to Susannah's sister, Margaret White, 'Jr.' On Aug 15, 1812 John Watt received a payment of $60.00 from Richard Geary, by then the husband of Margaret White 'Jr.', for 'all claims the within named John Watt in right of his wife Susanna has transferred to Margaret White. Susannah (White) Watt was probably deceased by 1818. (28)

(24) John Watt Sr. of Washington co., MD, by will dated June 1, 1815 bequeathed to his son John Watt, Jr. the 'tools and implements used by me in my trade as chair maker and wheelwright.'  This will also mentioned wife Eve, son Archibald, son William, daughter Polly wife of Edmond Parrott and Ezilbath Watts, wife of James Watts.  This will was proven Oct. 25, 1815. (Washington County, MD Will Bk. B, p. 323). John Jr.'s brother, Archibald Watt, advertised as 'wheelwright and chair maker, in Hagers Town, at the shop which his father, John Watt, formerly occipied.' (the Maryland Herald and Elizabeth Town Advertiser, Mr. 12, 1801).

(25) The fact that Susannah died without surviving issue was stated in the recollections of Margaret (White) Geary to her son, Rev. Edward Ratchford Geary in 1840.

(28) This presumption was made since on Nov., 15, 1818 John Watt of Hancock, MD sold a house lot on the south side of main street in Hancock to John and Samuel Robinson of Berkeley County (W)VA for $800.  Watt's wife Catherine released dower. (Lands records of Washington County, MD, Bk. DD, p. 542.  If there were two contemporary men by the name of John Watt and this one is not the one who married Susannah White, then Susannah may have lived longer.  The above John Watt of Hancock, MD was bonded to become a supervisor of the road from Hancock to Tong's Mill to the Fidelity Hill creek on Aug. 8, 1803. "
