Christoph Zimmerle was of "Munchweiler" according to the Darstein Families and this is confirmed in the marriage record of his son, Johann Georg Zimmerle. (1)  The Darstein Families also says that his wife was Anna Barbara. (2) And when his daughter, Anna Margaret Zimmerle, was baptized, her mother was listed as Barbara.  (3) The first two children were apparently born in Munchweiler as their baptismal records have not been found.  Christoph and Anna Barbara must have moved to the Vorderweidenthal area by 1708.  Their two daughter were both born in Vorderweidenthal.
His wife's name was probably Anna Barbara.  However he did not marry Anna Barbara Kreitz in Ellwangen in 1701. (4)  The Christoph Zimmerle who married that Anna Barbara remained in Ellwangen.

(4) Some trees have claimed that this Christoph Zimmerle married Anna Barbara Kreizen on 26 Apr 1701, but that marriage took place in Ellwangen, Wurttemburg, Germany.  And that marriage record states that that Christoph Zimmerle was a son of Christophi Zimmerle.  There were two men named Christoph Zimmerle who died in Ellwangen, Wurttemburg.  One died on 4 Mar 1711 and the other 31 Aug 1728.  Both died in Ellwangen and our Christoph Zimmerle fathered a child on 5 Jun 1711 who was baptized in Pleisweiler-Oberhofen which is 210 km from Ellwangen.
