Margaret Zimmerle was baptized at the Smithfield Church in Pittsburgh, PA on 20 Jul 1841.  One of the witnesses was named Philip Zimmerle. (1)  The family had moved to Olney, IL by 1855 where she met and married William Ameter on 24 May 1866. (2) Margaret's brother Henry Zimmerle died in 1855 and his wife, Irena Harbaugh, died in 1893.  Margaret became the legal guardian for two of their children.  The children were Cora and Jefferson Earl Zimmerly.
