A Catherine Altevogt married Christian Scherer on Jan. 4, 1870 and Phillip Zimmerly married Kate Shue on Oct. 10, 1871. Both of these marriages were recorded on pg 73 of the book of Early Marriages, 1840-1899, of Richland County by Lola B. Taylor.
Catherine Scherer was born 3-05-1845 and died 8-28-1905 and is buried near her husband Christian Scherer in the Bird Haven Cemetery. So even though the Zimmerle Death Index Records from the Olney Library states that Catherine was married 1st to Christina Schaere and then to Phillip Zimmerly, there must be some error.
The marriage record of Phillip Zimmerly from the Richland County Court House lists her as Kate Shue. The funeral records of Aaron Zimmerly list his mother as Catherine Schuch.
