George, 22 Feb 1707 (Preston Records). He later added to his holdings by purchase. he was an industrious farmer, and accumulated a handsome estate. The inventory of his personal property at his decease amounted to 954 pounds. His farm remained in the possession of his descendants for many years, but later passed to a member of the family not of his lineage.

- Ebenezer Geer was born on the homestead farm in N. Groton, CT. He was a successful farmer and added many acres to the original farm of George Geer. He and his wife are both buried in the old Episcopal cemetary in Ledyard, about 2 miles north of Ledyard Centre and the inscription on his gravestone reads: 'In memory of Ebenezer Geer, who lived virtuously and died hopefully.' Four of his children died of scarlet fever during the winter of 1753.
