Abigail Weyborn1

F
  • Apparently the youngest child of John Wyborne of Wrothem, co. Kent, England, yeoman, by an unknown wife. The "Weyborn-Wyborn Genealogy," by S. Fletcher Weyburn, 1911, p.2, names her as Abigail, born about 1613. The names and dates of baptism of eight older brothers and sisters are given, extracted from the Parish registers of Wrothem, but Abigail's baptism, nor the deaths of her parents were recorded, so it is possible that they moved away from Wrothem before 1613. Her name does not appear in the New England records, so it is not even certain that Abigail is her given name. Richard Brownson did, however, marry a daughter of John Wyborne, sometime of Wrothem, and a sister of Mrs. Margaret (Wyborne) Pantry, as in her will dated 12 Sep 1651 she names "her sister Brunson" and her two children by Richard Brunson, John and Abigail Bronson.
  • Also known as Wyborne.
