Four years later she spent two years in Oklahoma City, Okla., with her brother, Michael Brewer and her niece, Hazel Brewer Gooden, now the only survivors of her immediate family. She then returned for a short time to her Wisconsin home. The past six years whe has been a resident of Hemet, California, and despite her years, has been a prominent figure in Hemet church circles, where her keen memory and staunch principles have been deeply appreciated. Folks, generally, have enjoyed her readings with which her active mind was stored. Miss Brewer has lived with the James Lewis family a large share of her life, and it was at the Lewis residence on East Acacia avenue, Hemet, CA, where under their tender care she passed peacefully away December 21, 1931, following a three week illness. Converted to Christianity in her childhood, she has been an enthusiastic member of the Methodist church all her life. Accompanied by Mr. E.T. Wheaton, her remains were brought to Muscoda, WI and services held at the Basswood church Wednesday, Dec. 30th, conducted by Reb. Berton Tanner. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery, near her parents."3
