b. 4 July 1815
  • Also known as Mack Brower.2
  • Montross: A Family History (1958) page 262, states that John "Mack" Brower was a son of Henry Brower and a grandson of Jacob Brower and Hannah Abrams. No evidence is given for this claim, and it appears to be in error. Hannah Abrams, for one, was the wife of John (Jan) Brower, not Jacob Brower. Another Hannah Abrams was married to a James Brower. However, that marriage took place in 1811, making the couple much too young to be the grandparents of John "Mack" Brower who was born in 1815.
