Enlisted for six months in 1780 under Capt. Hinman aboard the privateer Marquis Lafayette. His pension app. states that he lived at Cambridge, New York for seven years, then at Cayuga Lake for twenty years, then moved to Frenchtown (now Monroe), Monroe Co., Michigan.1
