Thomas Benjamin Hill married a Jane Brouwer Their family included children:
    Nazareth, Thomas, Eleanor and Ann.
Nazareth Brouwer Hill, the son of Benjamin (Thomas) Hill was born in New
York State, Dec 5, 1752. He grew up in New York State and learned a weaver's
trade. Afterwards he settled on one hundred acres of land in New Haven,
Connecticut. In 1778 he married, in Trinity Church, New York, Catherine
Edwards, the daughter of Captain Robert Edwards.
During the American Revolution Nazareth Hill was a scout for the British
Army. He returned to New Haven, Conn, after the war, leased his land to his
brother, and then came to Canada. He is listed with the loyalists at the Bay
of Quinte (1790) and then settled in Marysburg, Prince Edward Co., Ontario.
The Hill family like many other families, around 1900, were trying to show
that they were descended from Jacob Brower and Annetta Bogardus. I have
omitted information about Jane's ancestry, that is included in the document
"The Trinity Church Story", as the dates, etc, are obviously in error.
However, I believe that the information stated above is probably accurate.". Hereinafter cited as "Paul Brewer e-mail."
