Stillwell...but now he refuses to pay. It was ordered that William Lake should pay the 40 pounds whalebone, or equivalent, to John Merry, plus costs, and that William Lake would be free to seek the same from William Stillwell.3

  • In 1677 he had sixty acres of land adjoining Jamaica, Long Island, and was on the Patent of New Lots. In 1684, after moving to Tappen, he sold the land to his son-in-law Floris Willemse Krom. In 1678/79 he had moved to Stuyvesant's Bouwery on Manhattan Island. As "Arie Lammerse" he was one of the original patentees of Tappan (24 Mar 1686). On 26 Sep 1687 he took the Oath of Allegiance at Tappan. In 1688 he sold 1/16 of his part of the Tappan Patent to Cornelius Barentse Van Wyck of Queens Co., Long Island. This is the last found reference regarding Adriaen Lambertszen.4
