To daughter Mercy, "a full sorting out of Household Goods and other Moveables Equal to what my daughter Woanche (Wyntje) Laan Has already Had." Each are to receive £25 paid from the moveable estate. To daughter Mercy "my young black mair." Remaining estate was devised to his sons, Garret and John, in equal shares, subject to payment by them of £150 to each of their sisters. Sons made executors. - Jan Strycker came to New Netherland in 1652 (35 years in the country in 1687). He moved to Midwout, or Flatbush, two years later and was Chief Magistrate there for twenty years. According to Hopper Striker Mott in NYGBR 38 (1907), Jan Strijker was from Ruinen in the province of Drenthe.
- Jan Strycker emigrated from Ruinen, a village in the province of Drenthe, with his wife, two sons and four daughters, and arrived at New Amsterdam in the year 1652.5
- On 8 Sep 1653 at New Amsterdam, Carsten Claes and Jan Barentsen brought suit against Jan Strycker for payment due on the construction of a house. Strycker was ordered to pay within four weeks.12
