If she is to marry a second time, then the estate is to be divided into two parts, a just half for his wife and the other just half for the children, to each child a share without regard to sex and the oldest son shall not participate more largely therein, but the oldest son, before any division is made, shall receive twenty shillings current money. (The children are not mentioned by name). Witnesses: Barent Meyndersz, Paulus Maartz. (Note: the testator was buried on 10 January 1688/89.2

- On 6 May 1670 Jan Loosdregh acquired from Thomas Davison, part of a fifty acre tract at Pembrepogh (in Bergen Co., New Jersey). The deed calls him Jan Loosdregh of Communipaw.1

- On 7 January 1678/79 at New Castle, Delaware, Jacob Vanderveer was a defendant is a suit brought by Thomas Harwood, plaintiff, who is seeking payment due of 51 guilders, 10 stivers, on a previous payment of 393 guilders of which 341 guilders, ten stivers had previously been paid. Court rules for the plaintiff. The case continues in the records through the spring of 1679 . Jacob Vander Veer being accused of placing a stone in a bag of feathers delivered to Thomas Harwood. Jacob vander Veer filed a counter suit against Thomas Harwood. On 4 Mar 1678/79, the court rules against Capt. Jacob Vander Veere in the matter of the stone in the bag of feathers. In August of 1679 there is testimony by John Anderson and Christina Carrllsdotter.13

- On 23 July 1679 Tymen Stiddem and Jacob Vander Veer are involved in a land dispute regarding Tymen Stiddem's right to 600 acres of land lying on the north side of Fish Creeke alias Brandewyns Creeke, just below the falls of said creek. Tymen claims that Jacob sold the land to him, along with a house and lot at Christina, and he has held it for fourteen years. On 18 Jan 1678/79, Tymen paid four years quit rents for the land. A resurvey conducted by Jacob caused Tymen to file his complaint to his rights. Among the evidence presented is a bill of sale of Jacob Vander Veer's right to Timen Stidden, with 1667 written on the back. Also, Jacob Vander Veers patent from Gov. Lovelace for an Island and a piece of land near it, dated 24 March 1668/9. The matter is taken up again in January 1679/80 and includes the deposition of Mathias Mathiasen de Vos, aged forty seven years or thereabouts, and a letter from Ephraim Herman, New Castle, Delaware, to Mathias Nicolls, Secretary of New York, 17 Jan 1679/80, mentioned the matter and Willem Beekman's role in it.15
- In a letter dated 15 Feb 1679/80, from Ephraim Herman, New Castle, to John Moll, Ephraim Herman states that the wife of Jacob vander Veer (her name not stated) was in New York the previous summer, along with Evert Fin, the wife of Jonas Nielsen, and apparently others. Ephraim Herman seems to be concerned about Evert Fin and Jacob vander Veer's wife, once back in Delaware, told others that in New York, Mr. Moll had informed the Governor that the Swedes in Delaware were against him (Ephraim Herman).16
