  • Michael Van Kleeck died between 23 January 1738 and 4 May 1739.2
  • His will was dated on 5 January 1737/38 calls himself "Magiell Van Kleek of Poughkeepsinck in Dutches County." To Blandina my dearly beloved wife all my estate real and personal. Said wife shall pay or cause to be paid unto my only son Barent the sum of 5 pounds when he arrives at the age of 21. Appoints wife, Blandina, as executrix. Signs by his mark. Witnesses: Myndert van den Bogart, Hendrick Pells, Henry Livingston. The will was not proved until 20 July 1730, by Barent van Kleek, only son. On 19 May 1790, Henry Livingston, though unable to see clearly, testified that he witnessed the testator make his mark. The will is recorded in the Dutchess County Court of Common Pleas.3
