Elizabeth1,2

  • Mother*: Mary Patrick
  • Elizabeth married Charles Morgan, son of Charles Morgan and Helena Applegate.
  • Elizabeth's mother, Mary (Patrick) Feake had three children by Tobias Feake who are included in the 1667 Feake pedigree found in English records. Elizabeth is not listed as a child of that couple, on those pedigrees. McCracken's well-done article on the Feake Family adds several daughters to that pedigree in other places. Of Elizabeth, however, he says, "it is probable that she [Mary] was a widow when she married Feake and had daughter Elizabeth by her first husband, name unknown." If Elizabeth married circa 1683, however, say at age 20, it would be possible for her to be the youngest child of Tobias and Mary Feake, born after Tobias left in July 1662. If Elizabeth is Mary's daughter by the first husband, she was probably born about 1654 -- perhaps a better age to marry Charles Morgan, who was born about 1649. On 5 January 1719/1720, she is mentioned as wife Elizabeth in the will of Charles Morgan of Perth Amboy, New Jersey.2

b. circa 1820, d. before June 1860
  • Elizabeth was born circa 1820 at Ohio.1
  • She married Jacob Rose at probably Ohio circa 1839.1
  • Elizabeth probably died before June 1860 as she is not listed on the census in her husband's household.
  • She appeared on the census on 24 October 1850 at Ohio Twp., Clermont Co., Ohio, as Elizabeth Rose, age 30, born in Ohio.1
  • The gap of eight years between daughter Margaret (1850) and presummed daughter Henrietta (1858) may imply that Elizabeth died in the earlier part of the 1850s, and that her husband, Jacob Rose, then remarried and had the two children Henrietta and James by a second wife who is unknown and who died prior to June 1860.
