He attended the Old Methodist Church at Odelltown. He served with the British during the War of 1812, as Capt. of the First Eastern Twp. Battalion, commanding the Hemmingford Company. He was promoted to Major in the First Battalion of L'Acadie on 24 Aug 1830, and became Lieut.-Colonol on 1 Oct 1836. He was placed on the retired list on 29 Jul 1845. He spelled his name as "Willsie". After the death of his son-in-law, Peter Ladue, Isaac moved with his daughter to Champlain, Clinton Co., New York, and later went with her and her children to Iowa.2
  • Isaac Wilsie and his wife Sarah Manning are named in an indenture on deed of sale dated 3 April 1819 between the heirs of Jacob Manning, and Joseph Odell, Esq., all of Odelltown, Seignory of LaCole, Province of Lower Cananda.5
