  • The identification of David Brewer's father as Derrick Brower, comes from an 1899 biography left by David's grandson, Jacob Jennings Warner Brewer, "son of Samuel and Mary (Lacy) Brewer, and grandson of David and Euphemia (Warner) Brewer. His great-grandfather was Derrick Brewer, who was of Holland descent."
    (It must be emphasized that the placement of David Brewer as a son of this Dirck Brewer is a "best guess" based upon what is presently known. Confirmation of this father-son relationship has not been found).5

However, the results did not show a match with any other known participant and it has been concluded that an adoption event likely occured somewhere in the participant's known line of ancestry.
