Thomas Boswell

 

To all Christian People unto whom this present writing shall come I Henry Boswell of Bladen County in the State of North Carolina Sendeth greeting know ye that I the said Henry Boswell for the consideration of the love good will and affection in which I have and do bear unto my loving Son Thomas Boswell and for Divers other good causes and considerations we hereunto moveing have given granted Bargained confirmed and delivered and do by these presents give grant Bargain confirm and deliver unto the said Thomas Boswell one piece or parcel of land Lying and being in our County of Bladen and on the west side of Morley Branch containing one hundred acres (be the same more or less being the one half and upper and of two hundred acres granted to me by his Excellency Alexander Martin Esquire as will fully appear by the plot and grant thereof the aforesaid one hundred acres Beginning at the North and upper corner of the aforesaid two hundred acres in a Sananah [unknown word] beginning at a Stake and running South 26 Chains to a Stake thence So 85 __ 38 Chains and fifty links to the beginning to have and to hold the aforesaid one hundred acres of land with all and every part thereof belonging to him the said Thomas Boswell to him and his heirs forever with all the right property claims and demand whatsoever of me the said Henry Boswell my heirs and assigns unto him the said Thomas Boswell to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Thomas Boswell his heirs as aforesaid and I the said Henry Boswell my heirs and assigns the said one hundred acres of land unto him the said Thomas Bowsell his heirs as aforesaid Shall and (will warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of all and any manner of person or person whatsoever as witness my hand and seal this the 13th day of Decr in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven
