WILLIAMSBURGH DISTRICT

Know all Men by these presents that I W. H. Smith of Sumter District & State aforesaid for and in Consideration of the Sum of forty Dollars to me paid by Joshua Browder in right of his Wife and for her special use and her childs in legally begotten by the Said Joshua Browder of the District and State aforesaid. HAVE granted bargained Sold released and by these Presents do grant bargain Sell and release unto the Said Joshua Browder in right as aforesaid) all that Plantation or Tract of Land being one half of a Tract Containing by representation one hundred and Sixty Acres more or less Situate in the district aforesaid. TOGETHER with all & Singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances in any Wise incident or appertaining. TO have and to hold and Singular the Said premises Unto the Said Joshua Browder for his Wife and heirs as aforesaid And their heirs Executors and Administrators forever.  And I do hereby relinquish all my right claims and Interest to the Said Premises being one half of or tract purchased jointly by Joshua Browder (as above represented) and Mrs Sarah Stephens) Unto the Said Joshua Browder as aforesaid

                In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this eight day of November 1831 and in the 26 Year of American Independancey
