Granville Browning, 77, of Wilderness Trail Manor, died Wednesday, February 24, 1988, at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital after a six month illness. He was born January 17, 1911 in Jayem, KY., and was a retired coal miner. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Browning, and one brother, Estel Browning. Survivors include one son, Ronald Browning, Pineville; two daughters, Barbara Sue Anderson, Flat Lick, KY., and Dorothea (Dee Dee) Ozuna, Howell, MI; five sisters, Mary Cleo Carmony, Harlan, KY., Lela Mae Eldridge, OH., Marjorie Thelma Blankenship and Alma King, both of Louisville, KY., and Joyce Carmony, Ypsilanti, MI; one brother, Ernest Browning, Louisville; three grandson, six granddaughters, and two great grandsons. Services were at 12 p.m. Saturday, February 27, at Arnett Funeral Home, with the Revs. Danny Robbins and Hubert Baker officiating. Burial was in Hurst Cemetery at Page Cut-Off.
