Lucy Timmons Browning, St. Augustine, died Jan. 21, 1998, at the Ponce de Leon Care Center. She was born in Dalton, Ga., and she had resided here since 1924. She was a retired secretary, having worked for the Florida East Coast Railway, and she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and of Cathedral Parish.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at Craig chapel. Friends may call at the chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to a favorite charity.

She was the wife of the late Albert Stanton ``Stan'' Browning.

Survivors include Freida Goodman, Hartsville, S.C.; Dorothy Marshall, Lebanon, Tenn.; Sheeba Long, Cecile B. Nusbaum, Ann Masters, all of St. Augustine; Ginger Cuthbert, Miami; Stanton Mills, A.J. Mills, J.D. Oesterreicher, Bill Oesterreicher, all of Palm Valley; Mark Vanzant, Woodbury, Tenn.; Jerry Browning, Cocoa Beach; James E. Browning, Ponte Vedra; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Browning, Elkton; several great-nieces and nephews also survive.
