The State of Mississippi

Lafayette County

I, Albert G. Browning of Mississippi, being advanced in years and feeble in health, but of sound and disposing mind and memory and being admonished of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, do hereby make, constitute and publish the following as my last will and testament, that is to say.

1st It is my will that all my just debts and financial expenses first be paid out of my estate remaining at my death.

2nd I will and bequeath to my son, Albert R. Browning, one Silver watch, one brindle cow named Ida and her increase.

3rd I will and bequeath to my daughter Nancy C.* Browning, one feather bed, bedstead, mattress and bed clothing, meaning the bed and furniture on which I have usually slept, one red cow with a white face named Nelly and her increase, one small trunk.

4th I will and bequeath to my son B. B. Browning Ten dollars in cash to be paid out of my estate after my death, He having received more than the other children, this is intended in lieu of all other bequests to him.

5th It is my will and I direct that all my entire estate, real, personal and mixed which is not herein bequested, shall be sold after my death by my Executor, hereinafter to be named-That all my just debts and funeral expenses first be paid out of the proceeds, and the balance I direct to be equally divided among all my children or their descendants except B. B. Browning who has been fully provided for and except further that because of and in consideration of the kind care and attention given me by my son Albert R. and my daughter Nancy C.* Browning in declining years, I direct that my said Executor pay to each of them Fifty dollars out of the proceeds of my estate in addition to the bequests herein as made, which I direct shall be done, share and share alike among all my children except as to B. B. Browning as aforesaid.

6th I hereby nominate and appoint my son Albert R. Browning my sole executor to carry out the provisions of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all wills by me heretofore made. In testimony which I hereunto set my hand, subscribe my name and affix my seal, this the Nineteenth day of February 1884.
