1900: ARMCO Cornerstone
July 12, 1900: ARMCO Cornerstone, Middletown
On July 12, 1900, most of the businesses in the city closed for the afternoon to witness the laying of the cornerstone for the new American Rolling Mill Company. Those who wanted to take part in the celebration assembled at the City Building and then paraded to Doty's Grove where the event was held.
