In 1832, the community of Rossville opened its first school at the corner of Ross Avenue and South "C" Street. The building pictured above existed at that location from at least 1875 till 1900. During these years it served both high school students and elementary students. In 1858, it was selected as the site for a high school which served both Rossville and Hamilton students. The building was replaced by the Miami School in 1902. |
