John Schradin and Fred Walther purchased A.R. Robinson's store in Shandon in October of 1899. Together they formed the Schradin and Walther Company, dealers in dry goods, clothing, groceries, shoes, and hardware. Mr. Walther also drove a wagon throughout the area selling the store's goods.
The store was purchased by St. Aloysius Catholic Church and in 1956 the building was demolished to make way for a parking lot.
