About Me and My Genealogy Work

Research intrigued me for some years, the first time was in 1953, when my Mother received her McLaughlin Family Genealogy. After Jim, my 17 year old son, died as result of a car accident and my mother passed away from cancer in 1975, and after cancer claimed the life of my husband Doug in 1991, leaving me a widow, I seemed to have no purpose in life. I had to get interested in something, so it was then that I decided to leave a legacy for my three remaining children and their descendents.

Genealogy, gave me something to live for. It was a challenge beyond my expectations. Once I was asked, "Do you get any sleep at night?" I answered "VERY LITTLE," as many of you know.

I am now involved with many Volunteer Genealogy Projects.

Some interesting facts about my family I discovered through the work of my cousin Ken Menard, who is also researching the Clarke family.
