Over the years, Halifax Corporation and its various successors have made a number of decisions which can only be described as folly, faux pas, Philistine and barbaric, and just unpopular and short-sighted:
The Rydings, Brighouse Saint Mary's Church, Halifax Shay House, Halifax The Shay, Halifax Shibden Grange Michael Holroyd Smith Square Congregational Church, Halifax Square Independent Chapel, Halifax The Square, Halifax Tin Mission, Hebden Bridge Warley House Well Head House, Halifax Wellesley Barracks, Halifax Wellesley Barracks, Halifax West View Park War Memorial
With hindsight, it may be felt that some of these were misguided, unsound, unwise, and it is to be hoped that there might be a different outcome if the same decisions were to be made today. Perhaps that is folly too!
