Novel written by Emily Brontë under the name Ellis Bell.

In December 1847, Thomas Cautley Newby published Emily's Wuthering Heights and Anne's Agnes Grey on condition that they paid him – a total of £50.

The book was considered savage by the critics.

In December 1850, a new edition was published with some of Emily's poems and an introduction by Charlotte.

There have been several films made of the novel.

Francis Henry Grundy believed that Branwell wrote Wuthering Heights
