On 13th June 1908, he married Lily Crowther [1883-1971] at St Paul's Church, Cross Stone.

In 1864, he married Susannah Peel [1836-1???] at Halifax Parish Church.

[1???-18??] Halifax police constable [1858].

Kaye, Edward Crossley
[1895-1917] Son of Alfred Kaye.

Born in Elland.

He was a member of the Sunday School of Temperance Methodist Church, Elland / a brick worker [1911].

During World War I, he enlisted [August 1916], and served as a Private with the 1st/4th Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.

He was injured by poison gas and died in No.16 General Hospital, Le Treport, France [29th July 1917].

His mother had been sent for, and arrived just before he died.

He was buried at the Mont Huon Military Cemetery, France, and his mother was present at the interment.

He is remembered on Elland War Memorial, and on the Memorial at St Paul's & Temperance Street Churches, Elland

Recorded in 1918, when he was at Siddal Top Farm, Southowram

He married Eliza. After his death, Eliza took over at the pub

He was a mill hand / employed by Webster's in Halifax.

During World War I, he enlisted [April 1916], and served as a Private with the 18th Battalion Durham Light Infantry.

He was killed in action [19th July 1918] (aged 26).

He is remembered on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium [8 & 9], and on Elland War Memorial

Born in Halifax.

He was a reacher in a woollen mill.

During World War I, he served as a Corporal with the 10th Battalion Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment).

He died of wounds [9th June 1917].

He was buried at the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium [XV H 5]
