Lumbutts
District of Calderdale south-east of Todmorden.
The community grew up around the Fielden family cotton
mill there.
The name comes from the Old English and means the pool or
lumb abutting a piece of land butt.
Pronunciation:
The name is pronounced as it is read, with the stress on
the first syllable
