J. Clinton White was born ca. 1860 in Tennessee, and died 1890 in Greene Co., AR. He married Sarah Elizabeth Allmond, ca. 1882 in Greene Co., AR. daughter of Thomas Porter Allmond and Margaret A. (maiden unknown). She was born ca. 1864 in Tennessee., died 1885 in Greene Co. AR.

Both are interred at Gainesville Cemetery, Gainesville, AR.

Two children were born to J. Clinton and Sarah Elizabeth:

Luther L. was born December 10, 1883, Gainesville, AR.

Annie, was born April 05, 1885, Gainesville, AR.

These two children were separated upon the second marriage of their father. Luther was raised on the farm of his grandparents, Andrew J. and Sarah White, while Annie was raised in the home of her Uncle and Aunt, George and Mollie Allmond.


J. Clinton married M. F. Valentine August 12, 1887 in Gainesville, AR. She was born ca. 1860 in Mississippi, after the death of J. Clinton, according to marriage and census records of Greene Co. AR,  M. F. (Mary) married Edmond T. Wood, 1891 Greene Co.  Mary passed away January, 1930.

One child was born to this marriage:

J.H.C. (James/Jim) White , b. September 22, 1889, Greene Co. AR. d. July 19, 1966, Clio, Michigan
