Silver Wedding

About Fifty Friends and Neighbors Make Merry on the Occasion

The spacious and hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Parkinson, of Deerfield, was the scene of an enjoyable assemblage of about fifty friends and neighbors on Saturday, October 7, 1905, the wedding anniversary of the estimable couple, who were married Oct 7, 1880, at Chilton, Calumet County, Wisconsin, where they resided until coming to Deerfield fourteen years ago. Being blessed with good health and possessing habits of industry and economy. Mr. and Mrs. Parkinson have acquired a good farm and comfortable home. Their lives have been gladdened with a family of six bright children, four girls and two boys, all of whom have been, or are being given the priceless advantage of good education.

Those who attended the anniversary celebration were very pleasantly entertained by games, music, social conversation and last but not least, a dinner so good and so bountiful that even such fellows as W. Y. Eager, O. W. Thurston and O. E. Wright got "filled up" to the limit for once-and these things are not mere hear say with The News editor who was present and fared very well himself. The table was prettily decorated with flowers and a button-hole bouquet was provided for each one who ate so as to distinguish them from the ones who "waited." William Newhall hid his bouquet with a view of getting a place at the second table, but got caught at the trick, and so another life was probably saved. The afternoon was a continual round of pleasure, and departures were taken with regret.-Hancock News.

The above will be read with interest by the friends of Mr. and Mrs. Parkinson in this county where they formerly resided. The Times joins in congratulations.
