Mr. and Mrs. John Wolf, Center Street, Brillion, were feted by about 65 guests at a 6:30 pm buffet dinner on Saturday
evening on the event of their golden wedding anniversary. The surprise observation was planned by their children and held
at the Eugen Wolf home, Rt 1 Brillion, which is the family homestead. Cards were the order of the evening, and a midnight
lunch was also served to the relatives who attended the celebration.
Mr. Wolf was born in the Town of Woodville, Calumet County, on May 10, 1875, and Mrs. Wolf, the former Christina Albert,
was born in Breckenheim, Germany on Mar. 8, 1881. As a child she moved with her parents to a farm near Forest Junction,
and later they resided in Rudolph, Wis., where she was married on Jan. 20, 1904, to John Wolf. The couple resided on a
farm just north of Brillion until 21 years ago when they moved to their residence in Brillion. Mr. Wolf was employed for
some time by the Brillion Utilities Commission and Mrs. Wolf spent a great deal of time raising flowers, gardening, and
crocheting. Both are members of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at Brillion, and Mrs. Wolf is a member of the
Ladies Aid of the church.
Their three sons, all of whom were present for the anniversary observance, are Eugene and Edgar of Brillion, and Victor
of Waukesha. There are 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also present for the celebration were two of their attendants who served them at the ceremonies in 1904, Mrs. Lena Mack
of Brillion, a sister of Mr. Wolf, and Charles Albert of Dancy, Wis., Mrs. Wolf's brother.
The honored couple both of whom are enjoying reasonably good health, Received many gifts and cardsto makr their golden
anniversary observance.
Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wolf and family of Waukesha, Mr. and mrs. August Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Steinfest and daughter, Diane, of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gast of Kiel, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Loewe and family of
Hilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Meyer and daughter Deborah, of Reedsville, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Albert and sons Arnold and
Charles Jr of Dancy, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voet of Kaukauna, Mrs. Kate Albert of Rudolph as well as a large number of relatives
from Brillion.
On Wed afternoon, the actual date of the anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Wolf were feted at their home by their neighbors.
