Birthday Anniversary

Mr. & Mrs. Potter


A very pleasant social gathering assembled at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Potter in Gravesville on Wednesday evening in celebration of their respective birthdays. The party was a surprise to the host and hostess who received the hearty greeting of the forty old time friend and acquaintances present, in a becoming and graceful manner. An elegant lunch was served by the ladies. A beautiful solid silver cake basket was presented to Mrs. Potter. The present to Mr. Potter was splendid traveling companion by Mr. Mart Watrous, of Denver. Nothing could have been more acceptable as he contemplates leaving on Monday for Denver and Creede. The bouquets worn by Mr. and Mrs. Potter and which were greatly admired, were presented by Mrs. James Broadhead. Among those present were Mr. Mart Watrous and wife of Denver, Co,., Mrs Mason Gray, of Griffith, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Sam Vincent. of Hayton, Mr. Justin Harper and wife, Mr. Andrew Crawford and wife, Mr. Wallace Porter and wife, Mr. Geo. D. Breed and wife, Mrs. J. E. Luce and Mrs.M. D. Hume, of Chilton Mr. James Brodhead and wife, Mr. S. M. Crawford and wife, Mr. E. g. Hart and wife, Mr. Chas. Luther and wife, Mr. Jesse Cornish and wife, Mr. H. I. Watrous and wife, Mrs. S. D. Graves and Miss Kittie McMullen of Brillion. Mr. and Mrs. Potter were born and brought up in Calumet county and have a host of friends here. The Time congratulates them on this occasion, hoping they will live to celebrate many birthday anniversaries.
