July 1, 1899
One of the pleasant events of the past week was the marriage of Mr. Herbert E. Harper, of this city and Miss Ethel Lloyd, of Brant.
The ceremony which joined these two souls with but a single thought, two hears that beat as one, was performed by Rev. H. S. Evert,
pastor of the Congregational church, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Lloyd, at eight o'clock on Thursday evening. Only relatives
and a few intimate friends were present. After the ceremony a wedding supper was indulged in by those present and a few hours were
spent in congratulations when the bridal couple took the night train for Milwaukee to attend the carnival.
This young couple who are so well mated hace grown up in our midst and are both popular with our citizens of whom all join The Times
in offering congratulations. They will be home after July 10, in the Smith residence on Grand street which was flitted up for them.
