A quiet wedding took place in our city on Monday afternoon last. The contracting parties were Mr. Wm. Wolf, of Escanaba, Mich.,
and Miss Gertude Stephany, daughter of the late Jacob Stephany, ex-county treasurer of this county. The marriage was performed at
St. Mary's parsonage by Rev. Fr. N. Hens, at 2 o'clock in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends. After the ceremony the
bridal couple repaired to the home of the bride's mother on Madison street where they received congratulations and refreshments were
served. The newly married couple took the evening train north for their future home at Escanaba. The groom is a stranger to many of
our citizens. He is spoken of as a young man of sterling qualities. The bride has always lives in our midst and is a favorite with both
young and old. The Times wishes them bon voyage o'er life tempestuous sea.
