Double Wedding
Held at Chilton�
Misses Violet and Loraine
Oakley are Brides at Double
Ceremony..

Chilton -- A double wedding took
place at St. Boniface Episcopal
Church at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning
when Miss Violet Oakley, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Oakley, was united
in marriage to Arthur Phillips of Suring,
and Miss Loraine Oakley to Benjamin
Thorp of Fond du Lac.
The ceremony was preformed by the
Rev. Vernon Lane.
At noon a wedding dinner was served
at the home of the brides' parents and
in the evening a wedding dance was held
at Goeser's hall in Brothertown.
Mr. And Mrs. Phillips will reside at
Chilton for some time, and Mr. And Mrs.
Thorp will make their home in Fond du Lac,
where the former is employed in the Postoffice.
Those from away who attended the wedding
were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Phillips and son
Bert of Suring, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thorp of
Fond du Lac, Miss Lydia Mell of Sheboygan,
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Oakley and children of
Sherwood, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Oakley,
William Oakley of Oakfield, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Snyder and children of Stockbridge,
and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hoffmann of
Stockbridge.
