Sheboygan People Attend Meier-Baus Wedding; Chilton
A pretty wedding occurred at Chilton on Tuesday, June 29, when Miss
Irene Meier of that village was united in marriage to Ben M. Baus,
St. Cloud. The marriage ceremony was performed at 9 o�clock Tuesday
morning at St. Mary's church by Rev. Father Thelen. The bride was
attended by Mrs. Arthur Acker, this city, as matron of honor and Miss
Irene Braun, her cousin, as the bridesmaid. Mrs. Acker wore a dress
of Nile Green organdie and a hat to match. She carried a colonial
bouquet of pink sweet peas. The groom's brother, Dr. Erwin Baus,
Milwaukee, was the best man. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was
served at the bride's home to thirty-five guests. The home was
decorated with cut flowers in a color scheme of lavender and white. A
reception was held for the couple during the afternoon. The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Meier, Chilton. She was employed
for three years at the Armour Company office in this city. The groom
is a merchant at St. Cloud. Mr. and Mrs. Baus left on a honeymoon
trip to Chain-of-Lakes and the Wisconsin Dells. They will be at home
after July 15 at St. Cloud.
