Chilton Times September 4, 1864

Suicide-A young man, a nephew of John Schuester, at Charlestown, aged 17 years, committed suicide by hanging himself to the rung of a ladder, standing against a beam in his uncle's barn on the night of the 24th ult., No cause is assigned for the rash act except the feat that his uncle might be drafted and he would be left without a home. An inquest was held by Justice Follet and a verdict in accordance with the facts rendered.
