Serious Runaway

On Monday evening, the 20th inst., while Mr. Feinds hired man and one of his hired girls were riding home from Rantoul the team was frightened near Gutheils brewery, by a dog running out and barking, and ran away. The man endeavored to stop them, but the wagon tipped over, and he and the girl were thrown out together with a large box weighing between 300 and 400 pounds. The box struck each of them on the right shoulders, injuring them severely although, luckily, no bone was broken. "Nic." Fell upon his face and his right eye looks as if he had a round with Heenan. The horses escaped unhurt, but the wagon was badly smashed.
