Appleton - Joseph B. Utschig, 40, 2016 E. College Avenue, Appleton, died at 6 am today at his home following a lingering illness.

Born August 28, 1925, in Appleton, he was a life resident of the city. He was associated with the Al Utschig and Sons Construction Company. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Appleton, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors are his wife Marie; two daughters Patricia Ann and Jo Ann, and one son, Michael, all at home; his father, Al Utschig; two brothers, Glenn and Reno Utschig, and one sister, Mrs. Bernard Blob, all of Appleton.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Utschig, 62, of 44 Garden Court, Appleton, who died unexpectedly at 4 o'clock Thursday morning at her home were held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from Sacred Heart Church, Appleton. Burial was made in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Nee Hedwig Thede, she was born in New Holstein June 13, 1894, and had lived in Appleton for the past 36 years.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Bernard Blob, Appleton, three sons, Glenn, Reno and Joseph, all of Appleton, one brother Alex Thede, Abbotsford; one sister Mrs. Paul Langenegger, Alma; and 9 grandchildren.
