Phillip P. Zimmermann, 81, of 2009 Church St., New Holstein, died at 6 p.m. Thursday evening at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks.
Mr. Zimmermann was born in the Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, June 8, 1899, a son of the late Phillip and Rosina Schmitt Zimmermann. He attended Steinthal Grade School, Manitowoc County.
Mr. Zimmermann was employed at the Lawson Enbine Division of Tecumseh Products from 1947 to 1951. From 1951 until retirement in 1962, he worked at the Wilbersheid Mink Ranch at New Holstein.
He married Frieda Deifenthaler Aug. 30, 1929 at her home in the Town of Rhine, Sheboygan County.
Mr. Zimmermann was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Marvin of Sheboygan Falls and Melvin of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert {Mildred} Rosso of Port Washington, Mrs. Marvin {Shirley} Thimmig of New Holstein, and Mrs. Harold {Arline} Bouse of Kenosha; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Louis Niemuth of Sheboygan.
He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandson, five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein. The Rev. Albert Borns, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Kiel City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein after 4 p.m. Sunday, from 8 to 10 a.m. on Monday, and at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Mrs. Julia Zamzow, 66, formerly of Route 6, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1977.
She was born Oct. 4, 1911 in Sheboygan County, a daughter of the late August and Ida Bohn Fritz. She was married to Clarence Zamzow in Fond du Lac on Aug. 18, 1934.
Mrs. Zamzow is survived by two sons, Howard of Route 6 and DuWayne of Fond du Lac; five brothers, Ernest Fritz of Waukegan, Ill., Ben Fritz of Gillette, Arthur Fritz of Beechwood, August and Edward Fritz, both of Plymouth. Other survivors are three sisters, Mrs.Caroline Bercier, Mrs. Della Lohse, both of Sheboygan and Mrs. Leon {Ida} Carpenter of Campbellsport. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 22, 1973 and by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she was a member.
Pastor Karl A. Gurgel will officiate, and burial will be in Lyons Forest Home Cemetery in the Town of Forest.

John Zorn, Jr., a resident of Brillion, was killed Friday by a falling tree while at work cutting timber near Matron.

Funeral services for Mrs. August Zorn, 74, of the town of New Holstein, who died Thursday morning at the St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan, were held Monday morning at the St. Anna Catholic church, St. Anna. The Rev. John M. Haen celebrated the requiem mass, with burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Arthur Berrens, Eugene Berrens, Roger Zorn, Ronald Anders and Martin Salm.
Darwin Immel and Charles Zorn carried the cross.
Relatives were here from Lake City and Goodhue, Minnesota, Stanley, Thorp, Chicago, Two Rivers, Green Bay and Milwaukee.
Born Anna LeCroix at St. Anna, July 3, 1879, Mrs. Zorn was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Dickrell Le Croix. She spent her early life in St. Anna and attended Catholic School there.
January 17, 1899 she was married to Mr. Zorn of the town of New Holstein at St. Ann's Church. The couple operated the Zorn homestead farm west of Kiel until retirement several years ago. Although they continued to live on the farm, operation of it was taken over by a son Raymond.
Mr. and Mrs. Zorn celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1949. Surviving are the husband; one daugher Mrs. Frank Anders, Sheboygan; four sons, William, Chilton; Isadore and Raymond town of New Holstein; and Leo, town of Russell; 14 great-grandchildren; 21 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. John Johat, and Mrs. Paulina Sievert, town of Schleswig; Mrs. Henry Schram, St. Nazianz, and Mrs. John Schram, Two Rivers; two brothers. Paul LaCroix, Kiel and Edward Glenbeulah.

On Wednesday morning at 1:30 Mrs. Johanna Zorn, one of the oldest residents of the town of New Holstein, was called to her reward at the home of her son, August. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. She had been ill for 5 months. Mrs. Zorn, nee Deville, was born in Belgium, Europe, on February 10, 1835, and came to New York at the age of 18 years. In 1855 she was married to Nic. Zorn, who preceded her in death 28 years ago. Eleven children were born into their union of whom 2 died in infancy, and 2 sons passed away at the ages of 43 and 50. She was the oldest member of St. Anna's congregation, and has been a resident of the town of New Holstein for 70 years. The survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Henke of Stanley; Mrs. Mich. Weiler of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Anton Claude of Seymour; four sons, Peter Zorn of Bellchester, Minn., John of Kansas City, Mo.; Nic. of Russell; and August on the homestead in the town of New Holstein; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Rach of Osceola; 37 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Ann's church, Rev. Schmitt officiating. The remains will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Ernst Zeidler, 94, died Friday at a Milwaukee nursing home, a native of Chilton, she had been residing at Milwaukee the last six years.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton. The Rev. Henry Schmitt will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Zeidler, the former Eva Schabel, was born May 9, 1871, at Chilton, daughter of the late John and Margaret Wicklein Schabel. She lived at Chicago and was married there and the couple lived at Marshfield where he was a cheese broker. He died 20 years ago.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Feltes, of South Bend, Ind., and Mrs. Mattie Russell, of Los Angeles, Calif., and nieces and nephews. Four brothers and five ssters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where at 8 p.m. th Rosary will be recited.
