Furtherwick Road

Furtherwick Road once ran straight from Lakeside Corner to the Thames at Labworth Beach loading jetty. In 1933 the road was split to provide a green area behind the newly built Labworth cafe.

 

Furtherwick Farm was originally called Fartherwicke or Fodderwick Marsh. In 1787 the building and outhouses were destroyed by fire. The farm was rebuilt and in more recent times it was owned by the Chambers family.
