Affidavit by Harry K. Brown

COUNTY OF STEUBEN  )
          HARRY K. BROWN, being duly sworn, says that he resides in the city of Hornell, New York, and is a practicing attorney with his offices at No. 98 Main Street in said city; that deponent formerly lived at Almond, Allegany [sic] County, New York, and that he knew Collin [sic] C. Burdick, an ex-soldier of the Civil War, while he lived in Almond, New York; that he knew that said Collin C. Burdick had four or five children and was personally acquainted with Clark Burdick, an employee of the Erie Railroad Company in the city of Hornell, N.Y. for the last 40 years; that deponent knew Emily R. Burdick, who was the oldest daughter of said Collin C. Burdick; that deponent has not seen said Emily R. Burdick for about 20 years, but he knew her when she was a small child and knew she was a daughter of said Collin C. Burdick, and he has seen her at the home of Collin C. Burdick in Almond, N.Y.
